In May 2023, I was selected to be a member of the Kentucky Department of Education Commissioner's Student Advisory Council for the 2023-2024 school year. As a member, I attend both in-person meetings at Frankfort, Kentucky, and virtual meetings where we use our unique perspectives to advise the KDE and the Education Commissioner on issues of critical importance to our education systems. Such topics include diversity, equity, inclusion, mental health awareness, and other key issues.
