After being involved with food insecurity work/research for Action Ministries and the Purdue Youth Institute, I came across an opportunity to further explore this service route as a member of the GO Pantry Ambassador Council. As Ambassadors, we help brainstorm ideas and plan events, such as food drives with local businesses and schools, to help reduce food insecurity in the Northern Kentucky region. We also come up with ways to further support the GO Pantry mission through both official GO Pantry initiatives and our own initiatives.
